The first event at the new Centre was the Marriage Course last night. It passed the first test with flying colours and it was such fun to be in our own place.

Here we have Claudius Maximus teaching the children about Roman discipline. Hopefully it lends context to the occasion when Jesus was approached by a Centurion requesting healing for his daughter. He then marched them all into the main hall to demonstrate the armour to the adults, helping us understand Ephesians 6 a bit better.

A great morning and definitely something to be repeated.

From start to finish, pictures of the new storehouse and its shelving to end all shelving. Thanks particularly to Mark and Dave,who have beavered away on it this week, and also Graham and Chris who chipped in (chipped in – get it?).

This weekend the work has continued and we have finished the storehouse room. The photos are of Dave working hard and me applying the first stroke of paint. The main office is looking great – this is Carl our builder, probably not at his best…

…bashing things up and taking them away. This has been to clear space for the builders who arrive on Monday. Our new venue (Kinterbury House in the City Centre) is an exciting place that will provide office space and storage for the Children’s Storehouse. Thank you to all who helped, and watch this space for further workparties this month!
