Welcome to childrenβs storehouse
Children's Storehouse is a social action project run by Plymouth Vineyard Church, supporting vulnerable families in Plymouth. It runs from our city centre premises at 93 New George Street.
We take donations of good quality
prams
cots/ moses baskets
baby gates and other safety equipment
high chairs
toys
books
clothing and shoes
These are given free of charge to disadvantaged families in crisis need who are referred to us by health, welfare and education professionals across Plymouth. We also run a weekly stay and play session for referred families, with a safe space to play and free drinks and snacks for the children.
Everything we give or do is unconditional and free of charge.
We rely on charitable funding and the kindness and support of the general public to do this - we do not receive any government funding.

WHAT WE DO
Childrenβs Storehouse collects high-quality baby & childrenβs items β prams, cots, safety gates, toys, clothing, bedding β and gives them free to families in crisis who are referred by health & welfare professionals. In 2024 we supported 626 children from 326 families, distributing a total of over 1,300 items of vital equipment, and bags of clothing and toys.
We also run a βStay and Playβ session every week for referred families, where children and their carers can play and interact in a safe and friendly environment - free of charge.
HOW IT WORKS
-

1.REFERRAL MADE
Families are referred by our network of health and welfare professionals across the city.

The referral is received and processed by our Project Lead. All details remain confidential at all times.
-

3.ITEMS PACKED
The items requested are picked and packed by our Project Lead and the dedicated Volunteer team.
-

4.COLLECTION
Once the items are ready, we let the referring professional know, and they arrange collection / delivery for the family in need.
