Welcome to children’s storehouse

Children's Storehouse is a community project run by Plymouth Vineyard Church.

It has been running for over ten years supporting vulnerable families in Plymouth. It runs from our city centre premises at 93 New George Street.

We collect good quality

  • prams

  • cots/ moses baskets

  • baby and children’s equipment

  • toys

  • books

  • clothing and shoes for all ages of children

  • bed linen

These are given free of charge to disadvantaged families in crisis need who are referred to us by a network of agencies and carers within Plymouth. We also run a twice weekly drop in for referred families, with a safe space to play and free drinks and snacks for the children.

Everything we give or do is unconditional and free of charge.

We rely on the kindness and support of the general public as well as funding from local and national organisations.

We are grateful to The National Lottery Community Fund who have awarded us £20,000 this year. This grant will enable the project to continue our vital work with families across Plymouth.

In 2023, Children’s Storehouse served 631 children from 320 families, and gave away over 1500 items of vital equipment, bedding and clothing to families in need.

We can only do this because of the generosity of the people of Plymouth, and with the support of our funders. Thank you!

If you would like to support our work - either by donating some equipment or clothing, or through direct financial support - or perhaps through organising a fundraiser - then we would love to hear from you!
