Children’s Storehouse collects high-quality toys, clothing, shoes and coats for children aged 0-11 — and gives them free to families in crisis who are referred by a network of health & welfare professionals.
In 2024 we supported 626 children from 326 families, distributing a total of over 1,300 items of vital equipment and bags of clothing and toys.
We also run a “Stay and Play” session every week for referred families, where children and their carers can play and interact in a safe and friendly environment - free of charge.

Children’s Storehouse works exclusively through professional referrals to ensure our help reaches those most in need.
If you are a health visitor, midwife, social worker, teacher, or community support worker or other health and welfare professional, you can refer a family for immediate, practical support—no red tape or long waits.
We can provide clothes, toys, shoes and more.

Help a family in crisis for just £5 per month
Becoming a “Friend of Children’s Storehouse” with a monthly gift helps us continue providing clothes, shoes and toys —to children in families facing crisis across Plymouth.
Just £5 per month can make a big difference, and help keep our vital work going.

practical donations
If you have good quality children’s toys (no soft toys please), clothes or shoes to donate, please use the contact form to get in touch and arrange a time to drop your donation off. It really helps us if you contact us first, before coming in.
Please note that we are not able to collect donations.
However you choose to support our work - Thank you. Together, we can make a difference for local children.
